| A Welded Hydraulic cylinder (also called a linear hydraulic motor) is a mechanical actuator that is used to give a unidirectional force through a unidirectional stroke. It has many applications, notably in engineering vehicles. A hydraulic cylinder consists of the following parts : Cylinder barrel, Cylinder Bottom or Cap, Cylinder Head, Piston, Piston Rod, Rod Gland, and Other parts like Cylinder bottom connection ,Seals and Cushions . The primary advantage of welded hydraulic cylinder is that they enable large amounts of power to be applied to machinery in areas located remote from the large heavy source of power generation. This source of power is usually an electric motor, a diesel engine, a turbine, or, in very simple systems, a hand or foot pump. By combining hydraulic actuators with other mechanical devices including linkages, gears and valves, the applications are virtually limitless and confined only by ones ingenuity and imagination. Linear travel can be converted to rotary or oscillating motion. Travel and forces can be multiplied. Positioning and velocities can be controlled, changed and held. | |
